Website security reports your clients can read

Give clients a clear explanation of their website security posture and give developers the exact changes to make, in one report.

What a report contains

  • An overall score and grade with a severity distribution.
  • A plain-language summary of what the findings mean for the business.
  • Each finding with the affected URL, evidence, business impact and remediation.
  • Verification status after a rescan.
  • The scope, method and limitations of the assessment.

Each report section explained

  • Executive summary: the score, grade and what the findings mean for the business, in plain language.
  • Scope and limitations: what was checked, when, and what a passive assessment cannot see.
  • Severity distribution: how many critical, high, medium, low and informational findings were found.
  • Evidence: the affected URL and what was observed, with the time of the scan.
  • Business impact: why each finding matters to the client.
  • Remediation: platform-specific configuration examples for the developer.
  • Verification status: open, verified fixed or still present after a rescan.
  • Score breakdown: the points each confirmed finding removed, so the client can see exactly why the score is what it is.
  • Coverage and confidence: how many applicable checks completed, and which could not run.
  • Fix priority and roadmap: P0 to P4 for each finding, grouped into now, next and planned, with items to review kept separate.
  • Standards mapping: the CWE, RFC, OWASP or NIST reference behind each finding.

Print and accessibility

The PDF is A4 with selectable text, a document title and language, a clickable contents page and bookmarks for each section. It is not a tagged PDF, so how well a screen reader follows it depends on the reader. The HTML report on the website uses headings and text labels for every severity.

Formats

Pro and MSP / Team export reports as PDF for clients and CSV for ticketing or spreadsheets. Reports carry NeoShield branding today. Agency branding is planned.

The sample report uses demonstration data for a fictional client so you can see every section before you scan a real website.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put my agency logo on the report?

Not yet. Agency-branded reports are planned and are labelled as planned on the pricing page.

Is the report suitable for compliance evidence?

It documents a passive configuration assessment at a point in time. It is not an audit, a certification or a penetration test report.
